Children’s Services
The YWCA of Canberra Children’s Services Portfolio cares for over 500 children each week throughout the ACT through the delivery of long day care, before and after school and preschool care, and Family Day Care.
Our programs nurture and encourage all aspects of children's individual development. All children are treated equally and respected as individuals. YWCA of Canberra staff encourage and support children's individual needs to learn and participate at their own pace. Cultural diversity is a significant consideration in the development of programs, with emphasis on children's social, emotional, creative, intellectual and physical development. If your child has additional needs the YWCA of Canberra has access to Australian Government funded Child Care Support Team staff to assist with including their needs at our services.
All YWCA of Canberra child care services are licensed by the ACT Government and are accredited through the National Child Care Accreditation Council.
For information about financial assistance for families to assist with the cost of child care please see http://www.familyassist.gov.au or contact them on 136 150.
