YWCA of Canberra Community Services Portfolio comprises two Units – the Housing and Social Inclusion Unit and the Youth and Family Services Unit – which operate within a strengths-based community development framework to deliver a range of important programs and services to the Canberra community.
Community Services staff are guided by the Community Development Model and Support Management Model, to ensure the highest quality case management and service delivery.
Housing and Social Inclusion Unit
The Housing and Social Inclusion Unit operates in accordance with the values of the YWCA of Canberra and strives to create a socially inclusive society where all people feel valued, their differences are respected, and their basic needs are met so they can live in dignity.

Youth and Family Services Unit
The Youth and Family Services Unit operates in accordance with the values of the YWCA of Canberra and strives to improve the wellbeing of vulnerable children, young people and their families by supporting them to reach their potential, make a contribution and share in the benefits of our community.
