The Tuggeranong Community Linkages Program aims to provide support to Tuggeranong public housing tenants by connecting tenants to the wider community, through social group activities and events. Linkages aims to increase awareness of support networks in the community that can help to develop individual skills and knowledge, and increase relationships between Tuggeranong public housing tenants.

What Linkages can do for you...

Linkages offers an outreach support service and can assist you in a number of ways. We can:

• support you when dealing and communicating with various government departments
• assist you with writing, photocopying and accessing computers
• provide referrals
• offer formal and informal activities including recreational and personal development programs
• run workshops and structured programs to increase life skills
• provide transport for groups of tenants though the use of our community bus.

Current activities

The Families Interacting with Toddlers (F.I.T.) Group meets every Tuesday at 10.30 am–12.30 pm. Young mothers and ACT housing tenants with children aged between 0–5 are encouraged to attend.

The Food Co-op Bus Service runs every Friday with pick-ups at Lanyon at 11.00 am and Erindale at 11.20 am. Please contact Claudia for more information on 6294 4633.
